I’m a Melbourne-based non-binary novelist, poet, and anthology curator. With a love for fortune-telling, angelic beings, and the human condition, many of my works across fiction and poetry touch on these subjects.
I am a diverse individual with autism who identifies as queer, transgender, and non-binary. My writing reflects these identities and my lived experiences! I believe that art can change a perspective or enhance it.
My debut novel, TELL ME HOW IT ENDS, is a cozy coming-of-age fantasy novel with a queer & diverse cast, tarot cards and witches.
My sophomore novel is CHRYSALIS AND REQUIEM, a queer dark academia speculative thriller about an obsessed arts major witnessing the murder of another student at the hands of the headmaster’s daughter and being faced with an unthinkable choice: avenging her fallen peer or taking this secret to the grave, one way or another.
My third publication is my novella ALL YOU WANT FOR THE HOLIDAYS, a second-chance summer romance set during Australian Christmas. A photographer and writer, ex-best-friends, end up on the same artist’s retreat without realising and have a chance to rekindle their connection.
I curated and edited DEVOUT: AN ANTHOLOGY OF ANGELS and REVERENT: AN ANTHOLOGY OF DIVINITY. Two collections of short stories, poetry and art dedicated to the angelic and divine, out now.
My poetry can be found with Panorame Press, Messy Misfits Club and Iris Youth Magazine.
When I’m not writing, I’m a public speaker for LGBTQIA+ advocacy and storytelling, a professional tarot reader, a streamer, a community leader, a holistic counsellor, and a student of ancient Greek religion. You can find a bunch of my links at carrd.co/quintonli

They/them.

I’m based in Melbourne, Australia. My background is Timorese-Australian.
Should I call you Quinton or Quinn?
I have a genuine indifference between the two of these. Quinton is my name but many call me Quinn as a nickname.
How many books are in the Chaos in the Cards series?
I thought I knew. Now I don’t! I figured that planning it all out isn’t for me at the moment so I’m just going to write and see where it goes. It will be more than two books, maybe more than three. I’m currently working on the sequel.
What age range do you write for?
My debut series is Young Adult. Chrysalis and Requiem, and All You Want for the Holidays is New Adult. My anthologies are usually Adult.
What genres do you write?
A whole lot of genres. I really love fantasy! Though I’ve also published dark academia, thriller, romance. My consistency in my books are protagonists who are queer and neurodivergent.
