Client: Book Fair Australia

Problem: Users of all ages at a lower level of computer literacy were unable to join the Book Fair Australia discord community to connect with others. Very surface level instructions were provided in social posts to encourage joining, i.e. “Click this link to join”. Without a more comprehensive aid that engaged in alternative learning methods, this left many community members unable to virtually meet.

Solution: Developed a short video guide by identifying what learning objectives needed to be met in this process, designing a script and storyboard, recording audio instructions, and creating a lightly animated video for asynchronous learning. This one-to-many delivery meant that staff members weren’t as frequently attending to users who required assistance.
